Rugby World Cup 2007 Competition (the “Competition”) - Terms and Conditions (the Terms and Conditions)
1. The Competition is not open to employees of EDF Energy plc (“EDF Energy”) or any of its subsidiaries, associated companies or any relatives or household members of any such employees or anyone connected with this Competition.
2. The Competition is open only to adults over 18 years of age, resident in England, Scotland or Wales
3. Only one prize per person per week. No purchase necessary.
4. You may enter as many times as you like.
5. Only entries with business email addresses will be accepted.
6. The Prizes consist of the following:
- a. Five separate prizes; Each prize consists of six VIP tickets (for the winner and five of the winner’s friends) to a private screening party at The Sports Café in London to watch the Rugby World Cup Final on 20th October 2007, drinks and food will be provided as part of the prize. These prizes will be drawn on Monday 8th October at 5pm
- b. Two separate prizes; each prize consists of one pair of corporate hospitality tickets to the Quarter Final Rugby Game to be held in Cardiff on 6th October 2007. These two prizes will be drawn on Friday 31 August at 5pm and Friday 28 September at 5pm. Rail travel and hotel accommodation will be provided by EDF Energy for these two prizes.
- c. Between 1st August and Friday 12th October 2007– on the Friday of each week falling within this period one winner will be drawn and will receive a Super-size Supporter pack of official Rugby merchandise. On each working day between these dates (excluding any bank holidays) one winner will be drawn and receive a Mini-size Supporter pack.
7. Full details of the Prizes are subject to confirmation by EDF Energy and to availability at the time of the Competition.
8. To enter this Competition, entrants must complete and submit the entry form which can be found at www.edfenergy.com/rwc2007.
9. The last draw will take place on Friday 12th October 2007 (the “Closing Date”). The Prize Winners will be chosen at random (the “Prize Winners”).
10. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into on the merits of such decision or otherwise.
11. Other than where stated, EDF Energy accepts no responsibility for any associated costs such as hospitality, travel, catering or car parking which is the sole responsibility of the Prize Winners.
12. The Rugby tickets and VIP party tickets are for the personal use of the Prize Winner. Under no circumstances may tickets be transferred, exchanged for cash or resold by any means whatsoever. Only one ticket per pair can be given to an immediate relative or friend who must be over 18 years of age. For the VIP viewing tickets at the Sports Café; only 5 tickets can be given to immediate relatives or friends who must be over 18 years of age.
13. All tickets are subject to the Rugby Football Union (“RFU”) Ticket Terms and Conditions and are non transferable. 14. The Prizes are provided on an ‘as is’ basis. No responsibility is accepted by EDF Energy for tickets that become lost or damaged after the Prizes have been issued.
15. A list of the Prize Winners can be obtained by sending a self addressed envelope to: EDF Energy, Major Business Marketing, Walter House, 418-422 Strand, London WC2R 0PT.
16. EDF Energy reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and/or not award a Prize if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these Terms and Conditions. In the event that any entrant is disqualified from this competition; EDF Energy using its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement winner should be drawn. In this event, any further entrant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant (i.e. chosen at random from all eligible entrants).
17. EDF Energy will endeavour to contact, by e-mail, Prize Winners within 5 working days of each draw taking place. Details of how to redeem the Prizes will be given at the time of notification.
18. Prize Winners may be required to participate in promotional activity and EDF Energy reserves the right to use the names and company addresses of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity.
19. EDF Energy may need to pass Prize Winners details to associated companies and other organisations to process the entry.
20. EDF Energy reserves the right to cancel or substitute any of the Prizes for any prize of equivalent or similar value and may withdraw or amend this Competition at any time.
21. EDF Energy accepts no responsibility for the Prizes, rugby tickets or postponement of the rugby games.
22. All implied terms, conditions and warranties relating to the quality and/or fitness for purpose of the Prizes are excluded by EDF Energy.
23. EDF Energy excludes all liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant or Prize Winner entering this competition or as a result of accepting any of the Prizes. Nothing shall exclude EDF Energy’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
